"TRUST is like paper. Once it's crumpled, it can never be perfect."
- Unknown
The reasoning behind this quote is almost simple. What happens when you crumple up a peice of paper, then try to unfold it? It will never be the same, perfectly flat peice again. You can try to make it the way that it was and maybe if you try hard enough, it will come close, but it will never again be the same perfect peice of paper.
It is the same with trust. Once you meet someone, you should be able to trust them from the beginning, but once that trust is broken, it is broken forever. You can try to make it the way that it was, and maybe if you try hard enough, it will close, but it will never be the same. I think many of us could compare this to ourselves with boyfriends or girlfriends cheating, or friends "stabbing us in the back". I also think we all have lost someone's trust in one way or another, and i think this quote is a really good way to explain the feeling of losing someone's trust, because it can never be perfect again.

I really think that is true. At least with me it is. I don't think that after someone breaks my trust that our relationship is ever truely the same.
This is very true! People really cannot move on after trust is broken.
I believe this happens when two people weren't meant to be friends or in a relationship, but if you really want it all to work out you can gain all that trust back because you learn from that first mistake.
Very true!
Love it!
I couldn't agree more. But that doesn't mean you can't have a relationship with them..but sadly it will never be the same.
Trust is the main thing for a lot of things. I really like this quote.:)
I really like this quote. I agree with you completely!
I agree, also. Once trust has been broken, there's always that little voice in the back of your head asking if they'll do it again.
