Remember When...

Remember When..

When "getting high" meant swinging on the playground?
When "Protection" meant wearing a helmet?
When the worst thing you could get from BOYS were "cooties"?
Dad's shoulders were the "highest place in the world", and Mom was your "hero"?
Your worst "enemies" were your siblings?
When the only "Drug" you knew was cough medicine?
Wearing a skirt didn't mean you were a "Sl*t"?
The only thing you "Smoked" was the tires on your bike?
The only thing that would "Hurt you" were skinned knees?
The only thing that could be "Broken" were your toys?
When "Goodbyes" only meant until tomorrow...?
And we couldn't wait to "Grow Up".

I thought that this quote would be a good one for my blog this week, simply just because of how fast time flies. It's January 23rd, 2012, and we graduate in less than four months. It's crazy how fast high school has gone by. We've learned so much since we have started kindergarden, and we are still to learn more after we graduate and start our new lives.

This quote is a very good example of how much we have learned as we've grown to be adults. When you're little, you don't understand all of the things in this world, whether they're good or bad. Its crazy how complicated everything gets as you grow older and it seriously sucks! So excited for graduation, and to go out into the real world so i can learn more about this crazy cool life, lol :P

I love this quote Lindsey! It's really good. It does really remind me of how fast time flies, and it is kind of scary for me to think about how fast my life has gone. I bet we all miss high school after it's over.

it's nice even though "the good old times" were before my time.

This quote honestly makes me a little sad every time I read it. It's almost like everything changed, not just us, but the world around us. I mean, now kids find it acceptable to do things at 12 and 13 that we never imagined doing at that age! It's crazy!

Lindsey, I absolutely love this quote. I really like how you explained it, and it is true; time does fly.

I think one of the most interesting things about this quote is how words can take on different meanings at different times in your life.
